Perhaps.  It would fit the Cords mold.  I was really hoping we could finally get away from another assistant coach hiring, but he would make somewhat of a splash because of the name.  For those expecting him to be here long, obviously that won't happen.

Still holding out hope that MU, for once, can get a very good coach from another program to come over.  Martin didn't fit that bill in my opinion.  A Smart, Marshall, Howland (there are issues there), etc would fit that bill.

When is the last time we hired a coach, currently employed as a HEAD COACH, at a BCS school, that is coming off of a 2 point loss in the Sweet 16, that has his team ranked in the top 20 in Offensive and Defensive efficiency, who in his 6 years as a head coach at 2 different schools....has improved the team's record year over year, 6 years in a row??

Why is Howland out of work?  Why hasn't he been hired elsewhere yet?  Who else do/did you want us to get?  We went hard after Shaka Smart. Don't think Izzo is going to leave MSU for Marquette, or Coach K, or Pitino, or Calipari...

I'm just giving you a hard time MUSF.  I hope they get the best candidate as well as that benefits us all the most.  We all truly want MU to succeed and win a national title just as Cords thinks.  I don't think Cuonzo was national title material.  That man who is capable of such feats, is out there, and Cords is doing his best to find him.  We'll get him......  Respect the Process.

It's still 1 bid in 6 years.  That one bid, the play in game.  They got lucky that Mercer bumped off Duke most likely...part of the crapshoot.  Five two star recruits....ouch. 

Howland was out of work last year because he made too much money to go back to work.  He was better off not working and collecting money.  This year, I don't know.  Red flags, too much money, etc?  Who knows.  Don't think anyone here is claiming we should get Pitino, Izzo, Cal or anyone of that nature.  However, I think plenty of people were concerned about a coach with 1 bid in 6 years, a bunch of 2 star recruits and a fan base where he currently is at that had 36,000 fans sign a petition saying they wanted another guy.  That's plenty of red flags.
