Simple question.  Would any of the seven schools from the Big East that broke away have chosen to do so without the reality that football schools were leaving for the B1G and ACC?

You make it seem like the basketball schools initiated this, which is the furthest thing from the truth.  This was a move to prevent being left out in the cold and having to assimilate into CUSA and the A10.
