T-Bone posted about the Villa 7 a couple of days back below....the Villa 7 included Buzz, Shaka and ROB JETER among others.  Sure the alumni of the Villa 7 are closely acquainted - i.e. Shaka and Jeter. We hire UWM Chancellor - Jeter should be intimately familiar with him....just wonder if Shaka and Jeter might have talked about him as Chancellor of UWM...and what working under his direction was like?

Probably nothing more than wishful thinking...but...it is an fun/optimistic thought to contemplate...more on Villa 7 from T-Bone here:

I didn't realize that Buzz may have won the job here.  Other notables listed here: http://www.sportleadership.vcu.edu/villa7/success.html  Including Jeter, Anthony Grant, Chris Mack, Pastner, and Shaka Smart.

Cottingham and Broeker are attending, but I wouldn't read into that too much (of course someone will), considering the other AD's attending.

According to Bill Michaels--- OUR PROGRAM IS IN DISARRAY. I AGREE. Why didn't we hire new President
and AD long before now. Still need an AD and Coach. We had three idiots that blew this thing up to the
limit. We are now the laughing stock of college basketball. Smart never even considered leaving. Administration is also to blame. Basketball is MU's sports livelihood. Low D-1 here we come. Black week at MU.

You mean how Cronin and VTech's AD used worked together, which made it attractive for Brent since he and Cronin are friends?  Cronin tells Buzz the VT AD is good to work with.  Likewise, Jeter tells Shaka that Lovell is good to work with

Alright, Ners.  Alright.  I'm smelling what you're steppin in.  I'm with ya.

Maybe just wishful thinking....but...the connection/familiarity certainly can't hurt in any way, shape or form...

And...as a fellow John Dawson fan Eldon...have it on good record he's staying at MU...was probably helpful that Buzz left in that regard...as it is for retaining JJJ..yet not certain he stays..but Buzz leaving helps improve the chances he stays...

We've stooped so low as to gauge the value of our program based on the opinions of The Big Unit.   That Dude is a tool.  It's not in disarray...yet.

For those of you from Kenosha, he's using what is sometimes referred to as Hyperbole.

Here's the joke of the day---OLIVER PURNELL  ha

Bill Michaels is a cut-rate radio guy who got canned from the easiest sports talk job in the Midwest.  Character revealed.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I see...another Pastner mention.

The answer to the thread title is yes.

Let's relax and respect the process.
