@JonRothstein says "Gregg Marshall is interested in the resources available to Marquette." Believes he would be an interesting fit there.

Where did he say this? I don't see anything on Twitter.
“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

Yeah, I don't see Marshall a good fit for MU.  Gard or Phillips.  Wardle also would be solid.

You registered three days ago and three of your four posts talk up Gard, Phillips, and Wardle.

I'm jealous of the strong pachouli you have at your disposal to be that delusional.

I wonder why a hard core Wisconsin fan would be so keen on us getting some also-ran?

I'd take a turd as my coach before any of them.  But I think Crean is staying put.

Second that. Marshall would be a great get. Love the way his teams play.

ChitownSpaceForRent

Marshall is a very distant 3rd for MU right now. Just sayin.

Well played.

Talked to Gard at Turners Friday as the news came out. He joked that he probably wouldn't be getting contacted by MU. His eyes did bug out when I told him how much our coaches get paid though.

Coleman

Marshall would be a great hire.

Just not quite as Great as Howland or Smart. But I would still be very happy if that's where we landed.

Henry Sugar

After looking at the numbers, Marshall is my #1 choice.

But can he recruit?

Anyone besides Marshall, Shaka or Howland will probably be a disappointment to me. In the long-term Marshall might be the best coach for the program. He knows how to develope players into a solid team. In the short term Shaka is probalby the best. I put Howland between the two.

What I'm about to say has absolutely no ground in any source, statistics, or even human reason...but I think Marshall sees us as a steppingstone.  Pass.
