Note: Late last night I had almost posted an open letter condemning Buzz Williams for his seeming hypocrisy, his absolute disregard for the players, coaches, and athletic department, and his overall handling of the situation. Then I decided to wait, dug a bit deeper, talked to a few other people, and really none of it made sense to why he would leave to a team like VT. After the cbs interview, it pretty much confirmed my opinion.


Now out of all this nonsense with buzz leaving due to "whats best for family" etc... Isn't it more likely that Marquette is just straight cleaning house out of everyone that was involved with the debacles over the last few years? After that cbs interview Buzz just had and the most obvious question dodge ever made. Did Vander Blue truly "decide" to forgo his senior year in hopes of nba dreams? Did Larry Williams "just follow suit in his resignation"?

It seems alot more likely that Marquette is cleaning house due to the rape allegations against some "unnamed" marquette players. Vander Blue was told he would not be allowed back on campus after the ending of the last season, the first attempt at controlling the flames. Larry Williams was forced to resign, along with the president, due to the handling of the rape case. Buzz was shipped off to a football first school where he would be under the radar, due to the rape case, and types of recruits he has been recruiting (See Blue/Mayo/Harris) I wouldn't be surprised if Mayo "decides" to transfer later on.

This really would explain this plain terrible year Marquette has had. From the decimation of the core office, to Blue leaving, to Buzz seeming to not care at all once the conference season started. Marquette has started a fire to burn all that was a part of this.

They also suspended Buzz and fired an assistant coach over a car ride to a basketball game and T-shirts. I'm guessing a rape case might have a bit more heat then that.

Could you please state on why Buzz would leave for Virginia Tech, while schools like Boston College, and Wake Forrest were open? Or why he would leave at all? Because so far no one has been able to describe a single thing on why Virginia Tech, and the only statement on why he would leave was conference realignment + Tv contracts. We knew about the conference before last season finished, he could have left then if that was the case. As for tv contracts, do coaches even see a % from that?

The only link left to the sexual assaults left was Buzz. Blue, Larry, and Pilarz had nothing to do with them.

There was a reason certain players transferred suddenly after those allegations.
