When Crean left MU for Indiana I said to myself it was an elite job. Buzz at VT? Yes, the ACC is now a better Conference than the current Big East. Then again despite preseason expectation Williams did poorly against weaker competition.
I fear MU getting into a Cycle of grooming up & coming coaches who  leave after establishing a reputation.
I have no idea if Marquette can hire yet another bright young coach to continue recent success.
Yes, O'Neil, Crean & Williams lived up to expectations but the "experts" also chose Bob Duliek.
