I forget how long it took us to officially hire Buzz 6 years ago.  What is a good time frame to expect for a new hire in the coaching search?  Will recruits typically wait for us to hire before they decide on re-opening recruitment?

Recruits and current players have to be let out of their NLI or scholarship.  Typically a university will not do that until they hire a new coach and let me meet and talk with his new players first.  After that if they want out, then the decision will be made.

Ah yes, of course.  So the only guy right now that can start looking elsewhere already is Malek Harris.

Is it better to hire new coach asap (ie Howland, before tourney is over) to keep current players & recruits? Or wait it out (for hopes of Shaka) and go for the big splash?

So it's an in house hire?  Or a team that has been eliminated....Chew?  Wardle, Smart?  I personally like the Marshall Plan.
