Anyone Else Excited?

Not sure how everyone else feels, but I am EXTREMELY excited about the future of the program.  Marquette has a history of great coaches, and whomever the next hire will be, will be a part of that strong group.  We have a strong young nucleus to build around, in a great conference, and I cannot wait to see who the school hires.

I never trusted the Buzz country bumpkin' shtick and think he is very unstable.  I look forward to the change.  I think we'll see more crap from behind the scenes coming out.  As long as we get a good coach we'll be fine.

Yeah. Excited isn't the right word. If the next coach plays the best players and not the ones who are the best people, or who buzz believes in, then I'm straight.

Derrick Wilson will not be the starting PG next year. Best news of 2014.

Seeing a lot of encouraging things...media and general public online seem to find the move perplexing because they have respect for our program, reported interest from excellent (some would say better) coaches, Burton committed to the program.

I really liked Buzz during his first 5 years, but I'm not sure anyone could've done much worse this past season.

I was not excited before the annoucement and at this point I am not sure I really care. I was already considering not renewing my tickets and that was before the season fell off the cliff. I could save a bundle of money and not worry about snow, if I stay home and watch the games on TV.

If MU does it's homework and get's a top notch I believe we'll be better off. Maybe we'll start playing BB without hockey line changes.  It won't be the same not having players in casts before the season hardly begins

Excited if:

MU hires an experienced coach and not an assistant.  A comprehensive search and not a spur of the moment decision. MU has the funds to pay someone out there big bucks to come and take over a program full of young recruits who will be really good in two years.  The foundation of players is in place, so no massive rebuilding project.

That the new staff reviews all aspects of the past program's personnel and which players deserve the appropriate playing time.  

That Ahmed Hill confirms his commitment to MU.  This guy is the real deal folks.  

Spring for some new uniforms.  Go back to when MU was noted for the great unis.  New coach, new start, new direction.  

Finally, MU Administration is honest in what really occurred with Buzz leaving.

Well. It is well known around here that I hated buzz. I thought he was a phony. I still wanted the team to win but it was really difficult to go to games and be all out 100 percent rooting for the creep. So yeah. Maybe my senior year i can actually cheer all out for the team
