Sitting On This Rumor Until Now: BBall program is under investigation

I heard this earlier in the week (Monday) by someone close to the program who made me promised not post it. Well circumstances just changed.

He said their is an investigation of the BBall program.  Didn't know, or would not say, if it's internal or NCAA.  He said we would know more in a week.

Same source told me about Vander's fight and the Humphrey "incident" days before it was public.

Has anyone else heard this and/or provide more color?

Any insight as to how aware the school may have been vs. the coach?  Biggest difference between probation (almost welcome in this period of transition) and the postseason ban hammer (nightmare).

Heres what I heard specifically. Buzz didnt recruit Mayo honestly. When Mayo was getting in trouble for grades and there was an incident with a female, not sexual assult but he was found with her when there was supposidly a restraining order. Larry wanted Todd gone and Buzz was going to oblidge but Todd said he would reveal how Buzz recruited him which is one of the reasons why Larry left because Todd was still on the team.

For sure.  Makes me wonder- if we are investigated, does the hammer hit Buzz (a la Bruce Pearl) or MU?  I don't know enough about this stuff to have any idea how it works.

I think Buzz. MU did something similar with Monarch. Got rid of him before the NCAA could hurt MU.

If Buzz is in trouble, wouldn't that follow him to VT? I would doubly hate the phony if MU gets put on probation because of crap he did.
