Surprise this has not been discussed but some people who I work with have told me (Badger Fans) that the lack of any post-season will scare away recruits.   Wondering if this has held any water in the past for other teams that did not make the tourney or NIT.   For instance, did Nova see a recruiting drop off during it's poor year?
I think the answer is probably no, but I can see someone like Bo using this to sway D-Stone.  Thoughts?

This I don't agree with.

Maybe a prolonged absence from the NCAAT, but a single season absolutely not.

The big question is what direction is Marquette trending.  Is this a blip in the radar or the beginning of something more?
Shut this board down at the opening tip.  If they win, open it back up.  If they lose, keep it shut it down until the next morning.  - Sultan of Slurpery

Sorry for some reason I got a weird autocorrect even though "no" is actually a word

"Your friends who are badger fans" found an excuse to say something critical of MU.   And you actually cared.     C'mon, man.

If you use Nova as an example then it will not affect recruiting.

The 2012 class arrived on campus the year after Nova's much worse 13-19 season. That class featured current Villanova starters Ryan Arci--holy crap that's a lot of letters--ano, the sixth rated PG in all the land and Daniel Ochefu the number 12 center in 2012. As well as eventual transfer Mislav Brzoja.

The 2013 class followed them and added two top 100 players in Josh Hart and Kris Jenkins. Three star Darryl Reynolds also came along.

The 2014 class currently features two top 100 players in Mikal Bridges and Phil Booth.

The 2015 class got started early with two top 100 commits from Donte DiVincenzo and Tim Delaney.

Interesting note, the 3/4 of the 2011 commits ended up transferring. Ty Johnson become a strong player for South Carolina (but Arci is better), Archaf Yacabou is still waiting to play at SLU, and Markus Kennedy become  a stud for SMU. Only their lowest rated player stayed...but it was Darrun Hilliard, so there's that.

I think 2011-2012 Villanova is a good comparison. If we follow their model, we will be just fine.
