I blame Crean and think he should be fired.

Where's PRN? He should be all over this bandwagon.

I just threw up in my mouth at work
"A Plan? Oh man, I hate plans. That means were gonna have to do stuff. Can't we just have a strategy......or a mission statement."

wow that really hurts.  I was looking forward to seeing this kid in action.  Everything happens for a reason.  More PT for Lazar and Fitz at the 4?

Agreed, what was Crean thinking practicing this guy?

The NCAA isn't blameless here. They should have taken at least a few more weeks to review Trevor's transcripts.

That sucks! :(  :o  >:(

I don't think it is funny that you guys are making jokes about somebody's injury.

Perhaps while he is undergoing surgery they can straighten out his pidgeon toes!

Hellooooo 4-guard offense.

As much as this sucks for this year (hello mr. blackledge, hazel, burke and fitzgerald), it will make next year's incoming crop really good and in a backwards way, this offsets MU's inability to get a big guy in the future. The "future" has now been extended one more season by this set back. In a sad way, it could help MU's 08/09, 09/10 team.

While this is no doubt bad news for Trevor and the team, I am not terribly upset about it.  Keep in mind, we return all 5 starters, plus 3 main contributers off the bench in addition to others.  I am really high on this Hazel kid, I think he will help the team alot this year.  Also Blackledge will help us hopefully on defense and any offensive contribution is a bonus.  This is Burke's golden opportunity to step up and get big minutes.  He has been here for 2 seasons, and we have seen glimpses of what he is capable of.  I believe this year he will relish every minute of this opportunity and contribute....he has the body, he just needs to have the right mentality.  Also Hayward can step up and fill this role.  I think we will be fine.

Despite not being able to play any games, I think this will benefit Trevor.  Hopefully Crean will treat him similar to how he treated DW3 when he had to sit out a year.  Yes, these are different circumstances, but I would guess that toward the end of the season Trevor will at least be able to practice with the guys, which should change things up a bit in practice and help with that final push at the tail of the season.  Also TM will have the opportunity to get aclimated to campus life both academically and socially, which cant hurt.  Finally, we have 4 more years with TM after this year.

Yikes!  I think this is a huge loss, especially with the expanded schedule in the BE.  We needed his body on the road to give us muscle, screens, physicalness to get the guards to the hoop for free throws (and depth for foul trouble).  Don't put the burden on Burke to step in.  He just doesn't match up like Trevor on athleticism, but will get more minutes.   I think the burden falls to Lazar where he is basically overmatched against a lot of teams (Trevor would have allowed him to step out more this year).

I thought we could win the regular season BE, but I think this could drop us to the third to sixth range.  Yet, we do have a deep and experienced team that can overcome this (and win close ones on the road).  Better now than in January so some guys can get the PT to see who steps up.   That said, with our quickness and guards, we should start out of the gates strong, pre-BE.

we lost a frosh that may have given us 6/5 a game at best.  Season is not over.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

We lost the production TM would have provided, which could have ranged from 0/0 to 10/12. Who knows. Most importantly, we gained another year with TM. A big man that gets to redshirt for a year, gain experience, learn some moves, add some bulk...I'm more excited about that than I am seeing him this season.

We may hate Bo, but he redshirts the big men, and it has done pretty well for him.
