UW-M to play for a NCAA berth.  Maybe MU plays UWGB in the NIT?

UWGB TO NCAA

If so, someone's bubble got burst.  52 RPI....right on the cusp going into the game.  Milwaukee has a 162 RPI and that was a home game for UWGB.  Not a good loss...likely to drop their RPI down to the mid 60's.  They are going to be praying next Sunday.

GB was others receiving votes this week, win the horizon and with #25 Kentucky losing badly, they MIGHT have been ranked next week, for their second time in history.

Now that 25 spot might go to Harvard, winner of the Ivy.

GB at 57 right now, so not that bad a drop.  Though 57 puts them in a real tough spot.

Wardle has never been to the NCAAs.  Not as a player and not as a coach.

That's unbelievable to me.  Guy is jinxed.

While their resume says bubble, I can easily see GB getting the Dayton nod.  The committe has had a few outliers the last few years, and GB fits the mold.  A lot of "experts" had jumped on the Phoenix bandwagon and think GB's win over Virginia makes them reason enough to be that outlier.

Have seen the "experts" opine that there's no way UWGB goes.

I would hope the committee considers UWGB's top players were injured last night.

Put them in.

UWGB down to 61 RPI now.  They're definitely sweating it.

UW-milwaukee to play Wright State.  Imagine a scenario where UW-milwaukee wins, UWGB sneaks in and Wisconsin gets a 1 seed while MU is in the NIT.  Holy craptacular meltdown here.

Not sure any other MU fan or poster on this board has even given the above scenario a shred of thought...and personally I don't care what GB and UWM do..Wisconsin can be annoying and I'll root against...but if those 3 made and we didn't...wouldn't care...what I care about is MU...and we had a terribly frustrating and disappointing season..and will be in the NIT.

This may be true, we only care about MU and IU here, our natural rival....not the rest of the state.

That's ridiculous. UWmilwaukee doesn't matter. When we play them we beat them. Always. I hope they do well - good for the city.

UWGB is coaches by an MU cager. Hope they get in and do well.

Wardle and his class (Clausen and John Mueller, I believe) are the only 4 year players since 1991 not to have played in a NCAA game.  Really sad for one of the best players we've seen in the last 25 years.

Bucky just lost in Lincoln to Nebraska ... no 1 seed this year.

And I agree with the others, Who thinks we are "competing" with every other program in the state?  No one thinks of it this way.

Frankly, I'm happy if both UWM and GB get in.  Doesn't matter to our program any more than say the state of Indiana getting shut out (no IU, ND, But or Pur going this year).

I used to work with Jeter as he was on staff when I was there, and Brian was on the squad when I worked there as well.  I hope for nothing but cool vibes for both of them.  It would not, however, make me very pleased to have been chosen to win the Big East and 5 months later every team in the state makes the NCAAs but MU.   Hopefully MU finds a way to win 3 in a row.

I thought UW wasn't even going to make the tournament and didn't you quit the board the other day?      ;)   Welcome back.

Actually, many people in the state of Indiana are beside themselves that not one team is going to go....not even Indiana State.  Been a long time since that has happened.  They take great pride in hoops in that state.  But when other teams do go and theirs doesn't, they aren't too happy about that either.

As a #1 seed in their conference tournament and not winning the auto NCAA bid, GB is guaranteed a NIT spot.

Who cares? Who would meltdown over that? I'm glad UWM made it! And I hope GB does, too!
