Sorry if this has already been posted about but I recently heard some talk that Giannis Antetokounmpo's younger brother is getting set up to attend WFB Dominican.  I also heard he's going to be one of the top prospects in the country (if not the top overall prospect) for his class.  I'm not exactly sure what class he'll be in but thought it was interesting.  Giannis is in Milwaukee and looks like he may be for a long time (as long as the Bucks don't move).  Maybe somewhere down the road his brother would look seriously at Marquette to play college ball if Giannis is still playing here in Milwaukee with the Bucks.

I did some searching and here is the original story....

Edit: it says Kostas Antetokounmpo is 15 so whatever grade a 15 year old is...

BCHoopster

Saw him at the Bucks game last night, he is tall but really, really skinny.  Shoulders are not wide at all.  If you think Giannis is skinny, think Maunte Bol skinny.

KenoshaWarrior

That dude is going to be ours.  As long as Giannis is in Milwaukee so will his brother!!

We R Final Four

Heard on sports radio today that when The Alphabet received his first NBA check, he immediately wired the entire check to his parents in Greece.  He then realized that he didnt have any $ for a cab so he began running to the BMOBC cuz it was game day.  A fan saw him running down the street and picked him up and gave him a ride.

Hopefully it was a Marquette fan that knew his bro might be going to Dominican and threw in a good word about MU bball to Giannis as well haha

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Hopefully Dominican alumni Duane Wilson and (fingers crossed) Diamond Stone encourage him to follow in their footsteps.

I like this news. It means nothing at this point. But it sets the table for us.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

source?

15 is probably a freshman, although I'm not sure what the Greek education system is like. Some countries move faster or slower than us. Here's hoping that we can keep the alphabet here for at least 5 years.

rocket surgeon

didn't his parents try to apply for some type of visa so they could stay here and continue to be parents to their 2 budding star hoopster boys?  then i caught the end of a blurb which said they were being denied the visa or something?  if true, kinda ironic how difficult it is to get into this country "legally". after all the taxes alphabet soup#1 pays from his bucks salary, ya think they would have been welcomed with open arms.

Has Giannis ever attendd a MU game.  If not, I wouldn't get too excited.

Most European countries have similar testing scores with the US. Unlike many Far East nations that leave us in the dust.

MuMark

He is a 2016 kid...he will play AAU ball this year with Playground Elite which is run by Duane Wilson's father.

That is a great story.
