They won the Midwest Collegiate Conference that year and lost in the first round of the tourney to Virginia Tech

Saw a couple brackets label them a bubble but in if they would drop the conference tournament.  Can't imagine the feeling of playing decent down the stretch only to get our bid stolen by GB.

Yes.  They also beat #12 Virginia and lost by 3 to #14 Wisconsin.
