"Star Notice
Five non-McDonald's All-Americans who can make the NBA.

Ahmed Hill, Aquinas (GA)
PG, 6-5, 190

Committed to Marquette

Simply put, I think Hill is the most underrated player in the country. Great size for a point guard at 6-5. Tight handle and strong frame to penetrate and finish through contact, and an extremely high basketball IQ—Hill can run your team as a freshman. He's a playmaker, a hungry competitor, and a true leader.

Hill can play both guard positions, but if I were a coach, I'd give Hill the keys to the offense and let him operate. He handles the ball against pressure, surveys the floor with poise, and can finish at the rim. I've seen all the top point guards in the Class of 2014, and in my opinion, there's not a PG who Ahmed Hill can't compete with. He could put Marquette back on the map in a hurry."

PG hey? Hill can run YOUR team as a freshman maybe, but not OUR team.

Good stuff--thanks for posting.  Can't wait for Med to arrive.

Ahmed Hill
Deonte Burton
Luke Fischer
Sathcel Pierce

Young.........but very intriguing.

Silenzio. Parla il moomoo.

According to the announcers yesterday, Ox is next.

PGsHeroes32

This is already making me frustrated.

We got Todd and JJJ

then factor in Duane and Hill

but you know Derrick is going to play.

Someone is getting left out, because someone isn't sticking around.

Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

When were we off the map?

ChitownSpaceForRent

I know everybody is excited to see him in a MU uniform but lets remember the last time a player got this much hype. Just taper you expectations a bit so we dont have the board blow up with transfer rumors again.

We all know who's starting at PG next year.

DG is NOT NBA. Kid struggles to run to defend the three and will get blown by.

According to the announcers yesterday, Ox is next.

Physically, Jamil is the most prototypical NBA player.

Ox needs to lower his BFP. He has amazing touch for a big man, though.

You may be right.  But a lineup of:

Derrick/Dawson
Mayo
JJJ
Burton
Taylor/Fischer

Would be very strong.  There is no guarantee that despite the hoopla that Hill or Duane Wilson are better than Derrick/Dawson or Mayo/JJJ.

JJJ's gonna have to add about 15 lbs and play some defense before he starts at MU. If he's not even playing at all now he's got a world of work to do.

Maybe. But then the second string will still be a look into a great future.

Coleman

Sad to say it but none of the juniors or seniors currently on this team will play in the Association. Maybe some of the freshmen though. Too soon to tell, but I really like Burton.

I am sure Ahmed Hill will benefit from a year riding the pine watching our PG being defended sagged off by 10 feet and shooting less than 50% at the later throw line.   Too early to start Ahmed Hill transfer rumors?

If I was Ahmed Hill I wouldnt want to be coached by Buzz.

Marqevans

Slight chance for Jamil and Devante.  Getting to the tournament is a must.

Markusquette

Imagine the potential of this lineup in 2015-2016:

Duane Wilson
Ahmed Hill
Deonte Burton
Luke Fischer
Diamond Stone

From all I saw of Hill so far he does look like the real deal.  But I gotta agree with you HH32, we have a logjam of wing players and guards next year.  I really like Derrick Wilson but it's a bit worrying to think he may be playing just as much next year.  I really hope he comes off the bench next year as a defensive stopper if Duane lives up to the hype.
