Seton Hall up 54-44 with 12 minutes left on CBS Sports.

Seton Hall winning would put Georgetown at 6-8 in conference and put some additional distance between 3rd and 7th place (first round BET bye.

Georgetwon has 4 tough games left, so they have a good chance of falling behind Seton Hall in teh standings.

They will join us in the NIT.

Unless the Pope intervenes.

G town is now (15-11, 6-8) I think their N.I.T bound with us.

The mess in the middle is starting to take shape.  We'll getting Creighton, Villanova, St. John's, and Xavier, so long as the Musketeers can get three of their last five (@GTWN, @SJU, vs. CREI, @HALL, vs. VILL).

They won't.  I think its more likely they lose 3 or 4.

I still think there is a reasonable chance MU finishes third in the standings.

Ha, not a chance. I noted a week ago how brutal that schedule was for the X men coming down the stretch. I wouldn't be surprised if they went 0-5. Their "easiest" game is @SHU, a team that beat them in Cincinnati and just hosed a decent G-town team by 15.

As an optimist, I see MU finishing fourth.  Third place belongs to St. Johns
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Senior day may be for 3rd place...

Golden Avalanche

Yet another big break for Marquette with Hall winning. And yet another opportunity that will be wasted. It numbers around 23 so far this season.

Not sure how big. In fact, it may hurt us as far as quality wins assuming we take care of business against Gtown at home next week.

Agreed.  I think some are still fixated on the notion that the Big East deserves X number of bids, and if we're in the top X finishers, then we get a bid.

All this does is move Georgetown one more step further away from being a meaningful victory for us.  We want to believe that sweeping GU means something--but it has probably become a "so what?" now that Seton Hall has done the same thing.
