Watching the game now.  Cohen definitely stands out - great athleticism.  Had a stretch in the third quarter where he rattled off ten straight points with a couple of threes and a dunk.  Blocked a few shots and made a few steals.  On the downside he is, as you might expect, very lean and wiry - needs to get in the weight room.  Also coasts a little on defense, but really looks like a player.

I don't know if this is typical of how Cohen plays but he looks great.

ChuckyChip

Cohen finished with 33 pts.  Pretty much took over the game in the second half...impressive.

Didn't watch, how 'bout Schwartz?

Silky Shot.

Cohen finished with 33. 6 three pointers.

Aircraftcarrier

Schwartz is a poor mans McDermott. Can really shoot it for a 6'8" player. Can put the ball on the floor a little bit too.Once he improves his handle a little more he could be special.I believe MU should sign him.

wadesworld

Schwartz is a nice player...for the Horizon League.

Aircraftcarrier

Just like the players on Creighton, right?

MUINGB

Cohen HAD 21 LAST WEEK AGAINST BAYPORT, 0NE TO THE BETTER TEAMS IN THE AREA  33 AGAINST WEST DEPERE..A VERY GOOD TEAM AS WELL.          COHEN WILL SEE PLAYING TIME NEXT YEAR AS 1 OR 2 GUY. I HAVE SEEN HIM A FEW TIMES THIS YEAR.

Don't tell Dodds that. He is falling all over himself on his board about how good he is.

McDermott was not even a poor man's McDermott in high school.

I watched the whole game, in the first half I was wondering why Buzz recruited him, not quick, nothing special.  All I thought is that he will be red-shirt candidate next year.  Missed majority of his threes, so I figured, here we go again, another bad shooter.  The second half he looked like the second coming of Magic Johnson.  Was all over the place, hit 5 threes, two back to back at the top of the key that Juan refuses to try.  He would play right now, could play the point, the wing, the 2 guard.  But JD better hold his horses on this kid, whom is MU getting.  Remember this
is not Chicago ball or even Milwaukee ball.  I did not think he was overly quick, Magic was not either.  He really understands the game, great timing on a bunch of blocks and rebounds, does more than shoot.  Great co-ordination. The one play I really liked was when on a break, he took it right at Schwartz, both went up and Schwartz bodied him and still scored.  Really long arms,
needs 20 lbs more, can dribble.  Reminds me a little bit of Rony Eford.  Remember he is at Seymour High School, it will be a big jump to the Big East for him.  Love his last name, is his Dad Jewish?

New math?

I think he means that Cohen scored 10 straight points that included 2 threes and a dunk.

Caps lock is shorthand for shouting.  Since he's in Green Bay, I guess he was worried about being heard.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

No way would he be playing right now.  Dawson is a better point than him and JJJ is way better defensively then him.

He did look real good in the second half but he won't get major minutes until his junior year when he will be quite good.
