I watch every minute of every game... He never has, nor will he ever be a game changer. That kind of talk is just absurd. The closest player we have to a game changer is Davante when he starts rolling.

So when Derrick won SOTG....and was nominated several other times...he did not change the game for the positive?

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Despite our horrible defense this thing is very doable

Box score had no todd until like 12 min left in half.

I just started watching.

And this starting lineup still blows. Juan and Otule can't play in a shootout.
mayo has had his head up his butt with piss poor defense.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

This is just a very bad defensive team right now. Unless that changes, there is no chance.

Switching it up tonight with a little Crown.  Mmmm, nummy.

Don't know about beating them by 8 in 20 minutes.  Hope Buzz has something up his sleeve.  Jae Crowder maybe.
I think we had several opportunities to take the lead in the first half but we shot ourselves in the foot each time. If we clean it up in the 2nd it's possible to win
No Finish Line

I don't want to see the driving game of Jake.

Shiner didn't work in the first half so I'm switching to Dos Equis for the second half

CU
62% from field.  7 for 13 from three
12 assists to MU's 5, due to double teaming by MU and CU passing to open man.
13 personal fouls on CU

MU 43%, 1 for 7 from three (14%)
10 for 17 from free throw line, including frontend miss by DWil.  Thats 8 to 9 points left on court.

Jamil is 2 for 8, 0 for 3 from three
Jake is 3 for 8.
All others shooting great.

Get them in foul trouble, make free throws, stop the threes and start making some threes.

Yeah he is changing the game. The D is playing him off 3 feet when he is dribbling at the FT line. Sagging off that much--3 feet when he is at the FT line. I have never seen a D disrespect a PG more.]

Need to feed davante in the second half, make wragge play defense.

willie warrior

Not much to talk about from first half. Mayo stinky D. Jamil--stink offense. Just terrible D. And Creighton is packing it in. Playing off Derrick by 3 feet when he is dribbling at the FT line. Unbelievable disrespect for a PG.

When he took the charge it did change the momentum. Then we started taking bad shots.

Same strategy as 1st game - make them beat us with 3's. We will lose 10 out of 10 times we play them with that plan on defense.

GooooMarquette

The incessant Derrick critics are clueless.  Through the first half he's our leading scorer, second in rebounds, leader in assists and has no TOs.  And he's played our best defense.

Apparently, it's fun to rip him just because he's Derrick.

PGsHeroes32

I hope Buzz is just telling the team to drive at Wragge.

Legs, what's on tap tonight?

chapman

Interesting stat: they missed 9 shots and 1 free throw.  We got every single board.  We got six offensive boards.  We're still getting out-rebounded 17-16.  Cause we missed a lot and they didn't miss much.
