I get it. Cause pink is so girly.
Of course, not so long ago (relatively speaking) pink was seen as a masculine color that should be work for boys while blue was for girly wear.

Seriously, it's just a uniform for one game.
Thanks for citing the SMITHSONIAN while using the phrase, "not so long ago." They're ugly...try to get over your piousness

Here's the Iowa State Men's Pink Out jersey for 2014:

Much like Creighton's.

Lighten up, Francis.
And please keep your porn search terms to yourself.

Is it just MU or are all teams doing this?
The whole ncaa's have been doing this for over 10 years now.

The font looks like the font that was on the prototype jersey we saw here a few years ago.

AZWarrior

Joke, right?

A ribbon would have been sufficient.

It might attract attention and build MU's brand.  I don't think it's worth it.  Man, that uniform is hideous!
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

TallTitan34

The yellow lettering and patch at the bottom of the should be navy. It would look much better.

I don't recall any men's team wearing all pink in the NCAA DI any time in the last 10 years for hoops (I know Oregon did pink helmets this year for football, but with black uniforms...looked ok).  Highlights of pink, yes..but not the whole thing.  Honestly, it will bring great attention to the cause.  I just don't find them very tasteful looking.

Then again, I found these ridiculous.

I have no problem with support but that is ridiculous.

Having said which, it will attract attention to the MU brand.
Brand??? What would that be--that the team is chicks. Oh hell why not. The chickification of football has arrived. Might as well chickify Men's Basketball. Even the USMC has lowered their physical standards for BAMs.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

ChitownSpaceForRent

Wow, there are a lot of sexist people on this site...I dont think they are particular good looking uniforms but I understand the cause and have no problem with the team wearing them.

Careful, Chicos. Keefe digs the camo.

Is it weird that I want one?

No.

And you'll probably be able to via the Blue and Gold online auctions some time this season, and probably through next.

I think they are hideous. But Marquette will generate some attention if the team wears these on Saturday. Some will embrace it and others will scorn it.

It makes one sexist to not like the design, style, color of a uniform?

As a cancer survivor myself, I support all efforts to raise awareness and money.  But those uniforms ........

And just think, the NCAA banned the "bumblebees".  After seeing this, bring the "bees" back....... Ugh...

Yeah, just was questioning how much exposure we would get if everyone was doing it this weekend.

Boxing doesn't exactly pay enough to get me compeitive in those auctions. Plus they're always game worn and I'm 5'7" I'd look like a fool in a real jersey.

Great point.  Comparatively, the "Bumble Bees" were tasteful and understated.
