Pretty cool, but the pink with the team colors don't really go too well together.  I wish they would've just gone with some navy blue lettering/numbers and cut out the side designs or something.

I really hope this is the women's team uniforms.

Creighton did this last year for the men, but it was a much more pleasing visual.

I have no problem with support but that is ridiculous.

Having said which, it will attract attention to the MU brand.

Those are hideous looking uniforms. Yuck.

I'd like a link to a story that says this is what the men are wearing.

The yellow lettering will never show up on TV, so not much good for the MU brand.  Another issue that would be better if we had a real AD to manage this stuff.  Let's hope our record in pink will be better than our record in baby blue.

Secret weapon against Villanova....maybe they'll let us use the smaller ball, too.

And before anyone rails on me about cancer, I've been touched by it like everyone else on this board.  No one has not been touched by it in one way, shape or form.

I really really really hope we win because this will definitely get exposure.  I'd rather not see highlights of "check out what Marquette men were wearing and by the way they lost"

I'm pretty sure that announcers will make mention that Marquette is wearing special pink uniforms for Coaches vs. Cancer and that not many men's basketball teams will be wearing all pink uniforms, so I don't think many people will be wondering, "Is that a Villinova or Marquette in pink?"

I'm also *fairly* certain that the athletic director is not in charge of uniform designs. Just a feeling I get...

And we do have an interim AD. It's not like people in the athletic department are running around doing whatever they want.

But other than that, you're right.

Is it just MU or are all teams doing this?

Paint Touches reported Jamil saying that he liked the jerseys ("they're legit") as they mean a lot to him (his mom passed away from cancer).

I get it. Cause pink is so girly.
Of course, not so long ago (relatively speaking) pink was seen as a masculine color that should be work for boys while blue was for girly wear.

Seriously, it's just a uniform for one game.
