Seems strange seeing a white guy on a Georgetown team.  Was he there last year?

Lubick? He's gotten significant playing time on GTWN since he was frosh. Four years now

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

What this says to me is that Dawson is capable at the point.  He may not actually be better than Derrick, but he isn't a lot worse.  I would like to see a split in minutes of 25/15 Derrick/Dawson, where if either is playing extremely well you let them get even more minutes.

I'm beginning to think if Dawson had more run he might get more comfortable and the freshman mistakes may diminish.

This shouldn't tell you anything one way or the other.  Pretty small sample size.

I WANT Dawson to succeed and was thrilled to see him hit that 3.

The blocked layup and TO/foul not so much.

He is definitely getting time to turn it around tonight.

Me too. I'm pulling for all of our players.

Lubek has been there for what seems like forever.

Gotcha.  I'm surprised I didn't notice until now.

Taylor played in crunchtime vs. Creighton and Xavier when those games were slipping away in the first half. For whatever reason, seems like Buzz only goes to him as a last resort.

Jamil has two points, both on free throws and has only taken two shots (missed).

Heck, Anderson has taken four shots, all missed.

Jamil has to step it up here, this bad snap can't continue and no way Anderson should have more attempts in such a limited minutes timeframe.

Gardner is 2 for 4 from field, so your best two players have taken a total of six shots.

Mayo is 1 for 5.

Otule, another brutal time has no fgs.  Starting front line has total of two fgs, both by Gardner.

Dawson isn't the second coming, but because his defender can't sag on him, it opens things up for the rest of our team as the passing lanes are more open and it becomes tougher to double our post players.
Threw GT D off as they were not ready for Dawson to play extended minutes. All they were doing was packing it in before.
Goal is National Championship

Yes, but in the games Dawson has gotten serious playing time the lines have been similar.

Don't get me wrong, he makes some really bad mistakes, but he does offer more on the offensive end too.

I think 15 minutes a game will allow us to have a run with more offense in there, while giving Derrick some rest so he can be more efficient.

If he is really struggling in a game sit him.

Dawson starts half.  Wilson hurt?  Buzz turning a new leaf?

The thing that I don't get is Jamil's mentality..... dude you're a senior and should want to prove you belong in the league yet you only take 2 shots in the half?? If I'm a senior trying to make the league I'm chuckin as a "senior leader" whether shots are there for me or not...

Gardner, twice had Dawson wide open from 3.  Instead of kicking it out to the opposite side he tried to keep it on his side.  Then forced it into the lane and turned it over.

You have to kick it out to open shooters.
