What is the BE mens bball tourney format? If you have a link with a seed-bracket....much appreciated.
found this on web:
First Round: Mar. 12
Quarterfinals: Mar. 13
Semifinals: Mar. 14
Championship: Mar. 15
So what do these brackets look like with 10 teams?
?FirstRound = bottom 4 teams and 6 byes...then standard 8/4/2? Or are the byes more complicated than that?

Prediction:
1.Nova 16-2
2.Creighton 14-4
3.Xavier 12-6
4.Georgetown 11-7
5.Marquette 11-7
6.Providence 8-10
7.Butler 7-11
8.DePaul 5-13
9.St.Johns 4-14
10.Seton Hall 2-16

MU beats GT then loses to Villanova.

I posted the Big East media guide awhile back which had it. If you just search Big East media guide on scoop it should pop up.

I'll search when I get home.

Thanks, TT.  Here's the media guide link... http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/bige/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/2013-14/misc_non_event/media-guide.pdf

I took a screen shot of the bracket.  Top six teams get byes... bottom four teams play Wednesday.

That 5 vs. 4 game on Thursday may very well be for a tournament spot

We R Final Four

It's called "The Derrick Wilson" game.
KO gets the call of course.

Looks like everything's the same for TV purposes except FSI instead of the four-letter network, and the championship game starts a half-hour earlier.
GO WARRIORS!

Just checked out tickets on ticketmaster. If you have never gone, this is the year to go based on prices. For the last two tournaments, I paid about $450 for the entire strip. This year, there are now two different prices - $180 for 400 level and $275 for 200 level. Granted, there are less sessions now but...wow.

To be fair, this is not your father's Big East Tournament...

Nor your recent-grad-from-MU brother's either.

So who is taking the hit in revenue due to decreased prices?

MU Fan in Connecticut

I noticed yesterday that StubHub was selling single day tickets also.

FWIW, the 100-level pricing is pretty close to par for years past... this year it's $350 and $399, while last year was $445 I think.

The smart change they made this year is tiered pricing based off seating location.  In the past, you were just lucky to get confirmed seats and every ticket book had the same price whether you were in the nosebleeds or side-court.

This year is also the first year that I remember where the general public can get upper level seats (no lowers) etc via ticketmaster... they just put them on sale a few days ago.  Usually the Big East schools sold-out all the allotments, so nothing was available for the public.  Besides losing the big draws like Uconn/Lou/Cuse, the Big East is much smaller now and have to make up for having 5-6 less schools.
