With a lot of talk lately about how we don't have a definitive leader on this team, I thought I would test the waters to see what we think. For me, this is main issue for this team since we cannot seem to finish close games. This is not a question of "if" anyone steps up but who needs to.

In reality, we may not see anyone step up, but in my opinion Jamil needs to be the guy to do it.

Buzz said not too long ago on one of his weekly radio sessions with Homer on 540 that Jamil is "by far the most talented" of the Jae/Butler/Vander/Lazar group he has coached. That statement is obviously debatable, but Buzz seemed fairly sure of himself in saying it. He has the talent, athleticism, and the experience. We will see if he is capable of showing the heart and leadership which he hasn't up to this point. Multiple guys could step up as well but I think it is most crucial that Jamil does.

Jamil, it's been stated a million times but has all the tools to be great, just needs a killer instinct.

to be fair, according to most people on this board, Vander wasn't the next Vander last year until the very end of the year.

I said someone else.

Duane Wilson!

As good a guess as any.

Out of the original 5 recruits we had coming in this year, he was by far the one I was most excited about. Man we could use a point guard with some offensive prowess right now! Could have made a difference in a couple of these close losses up until now.
