Two things stood out listening to KO:

1. The guy is brutally honest which is refreshing for color guys who often sound like shills for both teams

2. You can tell he still has very positive feelings about Marquette, both the program and the university.  And given #1 above, this was no b.s..

Yeah, quite liked him yesterday.

Agreed, KO will probably always be my second favorite MU coach.  It probably helps alot that-as Chicos says-there was no internet back when he was coach, for unfavorable stuff to come out about him.  It seemed to me that Al liked him too.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

He also said a few times that Marquette cannot win if Derrick Wilson doesn't shoot.

If we screwed up the KO hiring, there is no telling how low we might have sunk.  And as much as I love Deane-o...KO not only got 2 of his own teams to the Dance, he set Deane up for 2 Dance runs and a NIT Finals.  Just a critical piece in MU history.

KO was insane in many ways and IMO he saved the program. The job he did here was best work ever. He was young and dumb and did not know better. He is an all time great in MU history for what he accomplished.

Wow--we have won a few where he did not shoot. Maybe it should be worded that Marquette cannot win because Derrick cannot shoot.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."
