Nick Saban Agrees to Extension at Alabama, Kirk Herbstreit Says

http://thebiglead.com/2013/12/13/nick-saban-agrees-to-extension-at-alabama-kirk-herbstreit-says/

@KirkHerbstreit Breaking News....Nick Saban has agreed to a multi year contract extension to STAY at Alabama! Details to come out soon!!

Nick Saban is staying at Alabama, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit reports. ESPN’s top college football analyst just tweeted that Saban has agreed to an extension to remain at Alabama. Other outlets are claiming the same.

The timing is curious to say the least – three days ago, just about everyone who covers college football wrote that Texas coach Mack Brown was going to step down from his position. UT super-reporter Chip Brown led the charge, and ESPN, CBS and many, many outlets followed.

You know what everyone’s going to say: Texas swung for the fences all week, missed with Saban, and now they have to take Mack Brown back. Man, what an ugly situation for the Longhorns. Another lost year of recruiting, another year of, ‘who replaces Mack?’

Merry Christmas, Austin.
