Who wins today?
« on: December 07, 2013, 09:38:55 AM »
Let's get some predictions...

Never would have thought coming into this year that we'd be a decided 9 point underdog in this game, but based on what UW and MU have shown thus far - it's understandable.  I took MU getting 9.  As much as I hate to say it, I think Wisconsin wins by 5 in what I think will be a very good/competitive game throughout.

I'm a big fan of betting big $$$$ on the Money Line, on a 4 or 5 team parlay - on college hoops exclusively.  It is so rare that the 12-17 point underdog ever upsets the heavy favorite - it's virtually a lock every time.  Usually can bet 1,000 and win $600-$700...the rub of course is all 4 or 5 picks have to win....which in my experience they do 90+% of the time.

I put some dough on the spread. Even if we do lose, I don't see UW scoring enough to cover.

I have a strange feeling Jake and Jamil really play well in this one, put up 33 points between the two of them.  Leads MU to a respectable 73-67 win.

That may be the heart talking though.

I would take MU with the spread in heartbeat if I were still gambling.

I think MU wins a tough one by two or three.

Ox and Jamil pick up two fouls within the first five minutes and UW pulls away early. We make small second-half run but lose by 11. Bucky shoots 22 FTs, we shoot seven.

My Brain side fears that this is a likely scenario.  I actually think we see a lot of Jamil or Dawson at the point and think you can add D. Wilson to the quick two fouls category.

Good to be the underdog. Hope Buzz is posting the negative articles in the locker room.

Let's see, the Vadgers have 6 Wisky natives on the roster; MU has 4 - Marquette by 2!  Go Warriors!

Smart bets are in college sports. I don't know why anyone bets the pros.

MU was ranked 14 last time at the kohl and the spread was 9.5.

I would love to see an MU victory. I feel UW is too good of a shooting team, and Kaminsky will cause both O'Tule and Gardner problems inside. If we play the way we've been playing, I feel that UW will win by double digits. If we can shoot the ball consistently from the perimeter it will be a different story. We have to get out on their shooters, and Gardner and O'Tule will have to defend inside without much help. Our length and quickness could work to our advantage, but only if we are making perimeter shots. UW-72 MU 61

Might steal one today, literally. Make Badgers turn it over and we get the win. We need wasted possessions from them.

I think we squeak it out. Buzz always seems to have something planned for this game and I expect the extra prep time to make a difference. This team is better than its record and will show it today.

I'll say MU by 3.  Despite Burr's best efforts.
