Wgaf. I don't mind most of your posts but you just really go out of your way to irritate people on this board it seems. I used to like reading this board so much more but nowadays it's posts like these on top of all the other negative and mindless posts that are starting to make it unbearable. End of rant. Have a great weekend.

Poor idea for thread choice, regardless doesn't belong in this forum. Superbar?

Unfortunately for USD, it was a must win game.

Guess you haven't been around much, this crap has been going on for several years.

Chicos was just pointing out how it helps our RPI.

The psychology of this board continues unabated.  After OSU pounded us, a thread was started by someone (not I) that said OSU gave up 50+ points to American University.  Apparently the "passive aggressive tool" line was in the holster that day.

A gazillion other examples from the last few years.  In the last few weeks, posts about Wisconsin games, G'Town, SLU, Dayton, etc.

It was a factual post, similar to the ones done here against opponents we have played or will play.  I'd invite some of you to simply use your browser and take a stroll for how often it happens.....and no, they aren't put in the Superbar.

It all depends WHO posts it, not WHAT is posted.   They psychology here is amazing....truly amazing.

seriously. what the hell? where does this post fall under either of these thoughts:

"I choose to comment on people saying stupid stuff or saying stuff when the exact same thing is happening at MU.  When you get a bunch of sports fans together that move in a herd mentality, think with their heart instead of their brains sometimes, you are going to get those 99 situations.  That's just the way it is.  People can hate me for it, whatever.  It's like politics and religion. You can have one side rant and rave that the other side is doing X, Y, and Z and all the while that person's side is doing X, Y, and Z squared....sometimes it just becomes too funny.  The multiple standards people have depending on what ox is in the process of being gored has always been interesting to me."

"I'm a fan of Marquette, IU and KU.  I know coaches come and go.  I appreciate what Buzz is doing and appreciate what TC did (and is doing for one of my other alma maters).  Coaches come and go, none of them are loyal to the their schools.  I ultimately want whichever caretaker is at my schools to do well, to win, to graduate players, keep them off the police blotter, be good representatives of my alma mater.  If they accomplish this, then I am a big fan.  Because MU ranks highest for me, by default I'm a bigger fan of Buzz than the others.  When he leaves, which he will (they all do), then the next guy I will be a big fan of because he is MU's coach."

This post is EXACTLY the reason why people say this about you:

"I don't disagree with any of this. In fact, I often feel the same way, and make similar comments. So do many others, but the tone, frequency, and nature of many of your posts seem to cause more consternation and blow back than others. Most of us don't have our loyalty questioned, get told that our posts are out of line, or get banned for large chunks of time.

If you take pride in being the contrarian, fine but don't act surprised when you get the response you have been trolling for."

The major difference is that you have proven yourself, time and time again, to be insanely attention-starved while other posters have not.

If anything, the psychology of what makes a grown man repeatedly turn to an internet message board for attention is truly amazing.

Posts like these? The guy reported a score of the last team we played/lost to. What I find "unbearable" is people whining all the time about Chicos. I just got to the board this morning and I appreciate the post. I don't care if this is the Superbar or not, the mods can figure that out. I like to know what our out-of-conference "losses" do the rest of the way. I appreciate it being posted front and center. It saves me time. I also like to know what our transfers are doing at other schools. "Unbearable" — thanks for the laugh.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

chapman

Eh, we barely escaped when we played UWM at the Cell too.  USD is probably better than UWM was then, SDSU isn't as good as we were then.

To clarify for you, ok for others to post scores of other teams we have played or will play.  Not ok for me to do it.

There is an ignore button, use it.  I'm not posting to see responses or how many people read them.  Attention starved...not that is funny.

Jesu, your post makes no sense.  I posted a score of a game of an opponent we just played, which is done here ALL THE TIME.

Talk about some of you in the Outrage Starting Blocks waiting for anything to get an early jump.  My God.

leever

Poor Chicos!  If everyone would just stop picking on him and treat him with the respect that he and Hoopaloop have earned, then he wouldn't have to continually post crap telling us how much his is picked on and disrespected.

Oh, and please stop picking on Tom Crean as well.

madtownwarrior

I posted the OSU / American U game and they trashed me too...

this board definitely does not like people pointing out that MU may have not played up to their potential in the previous game or that the team simply is not very good right now versus comforting themselves that they beliebe MU got beat by a very good team (which now ASU and SDSU do not appear to be).

Definitely a sunshine pumping group at times.....and a hyprocritical one as well.  God forbid you provide the same information everyone else does.  The psychology is interesting, the defense of their actions even more interesting....grown men acting in such a way (that was for you Merrit).  LOL

I think SDSU is pretty darn good.  ASU...eh.  Good at home, not deep at all, now way a top 15 team...the children with insulin dependent diabetes will appreciate Ners donation for a potential cure down the line.

ChicosBailBonds

I sure hope the new rule is all scores of other teams we play will be moved to the Superbar....for consistency sake.

I'd hate to have any labeled as passive aggressive tools or attention starved whores.  Considering the volume of those threads, Superbar will get pretty busy moving forward.  Great traffic for the bar....

Dr. Blackheart

I want to point out that last night Seton Hall beat LIU Brooklyn at home 92-81.  Not to inflame, but to point out how that will help Marquette's and the BE's RPI since LIUB is a likely NCAA team and lost to a B1G team at home on a last second shot (unlucky).  I think there was a thread or two on that game here.

Typically your posts have not so subtle "look at me!" overtones to them. Therefore, when you post that a team MU lost to just won a close game against an inferior team, it gets chalked up to another "look at me!" thread from Scoop's most attention-starved poster.

brewcity77

So let's see...SDSU wins a true road game, which is good for their RPI, and thus good for our RPI, and we're supposed to see this as a bad thing?
