Dan Dakich just said the MU vs UNC Charlotte game in 1977 was the greatest college basketball finish ever, better than Laetner's vs Kentucky.

GoldenWarrior11

IU looks better prepared to attack Syracuse's zone defense this time around.

nyg

IU getting blown out.  Switch over to Pitt/Penn St.

The Penn St backcourt of Frazier and Newbill is really, really good.

He said the same thing during a game last Thursday.  Maybe Friday.   Can't remember who was playing.

I tried going back and looking up the records, but has Tom Crean ever beaten Syracuse?

6 assists to 16 turnovers and 36% shooting...looks like he finally figured out how to attack a zone.  Then again I'd rather forget our tournament performance and don't want to think about how bad this year's team would be against SU.

Wasn't Newbill a signee of MU

Don't go there, bro.

Atticus

There is some restlessness in Bloomington. The crickets are getting louder. CTC's contract is the best thing going for him right now.

Big money for TC whether he wins or loses. Kinda reminds me of Steve Lavin.

I don't think Tom Crean has beaten Syracuse.  I love how they were acting like Syracuse beating Indiana last year was such an upset.  It was the easiest call of the NCAA tourney.  Tom Crean gets the yips against a zone defense.

Not sure what the "yips" are but I know Tom Crean gets snake bit when it comes to honoring his word. Just ask the Marquette Soccer Team (among others)

James Madison recently lost to Richmond 68-53.   I however don't blame assistant coach MIKE DEANE.  I put all the blame on the players.

Crean can't even spell zone, let alone attack it.

Why?  We have a wonderful volleyball discussion going in another thread.

Crean's lads got crushed by Cuse when they had two top-5 NBA draft picks on their team.

Frankly, I'm surprised this game was this close.

Wasn't that team the consensus pre-season favorite to win the National Championship? How shameful.

Thank you Chicos and Lenny from refraining from devolving this thread.  I appreciate it.  Can this now be moved to its rightful place to die in peace?
