Any excuse for a cheap, unfunny and out of context shot.

A shot?  Hardly.

I'm surprised the main character isn't named Dayrl.

Then it just didn't make any sense at all.

Sure it did....you have to think about television shows, where characters \ celebs \ athletes make guest appearances as themselves, or better yet as someone totally different but you know who they are.

Especially sitcoms.  You guys aren't thinking very hard.

When they don't play themselves, then it becomes funny.  When they play themselves, becomes pretty corny (e g Don Drysdale in Brady Bunch or Pat Ewing in Webster).  It's better when they play someone else like LJ playing Grandmama in Urkel, Roger Clemens in Kingpin (very good), Alex Karras in Blazing Saddles, etc, etc

Rog was in Kingpin, too?  Or are you just thinking of him in Dumb and Dumber?

What about Ken Griffey Jr in Little Big League?  I thought he was excellent.

I wouldn’t be so dismissive. The conclusion of the 2003 Season would make a fine Greek Tragedy. The Protagonist is a farcical character guilty of outrageous sins without seeing just how fatuous, venal, and arrogant he has been. The narrative includes elements of love defiled, searing loss, prodigious hubris, vanquished hope, pretensions of honor, and an injudicious abuse of power. Not only are the relationships between men torn asunder by the Protagonist’s flagrancy but his arrogance calls forth the wrath of the Gods who cast his tribe from the summit to the wasteland of a far lesser world. The people wander aimlessly in exile for five years before a Messiah arrives to offer redemption through iron discipline, intense effort, and personal integrity.

Through the catharsis of betrayal and defeat the hero recognizes he must escape the reprehensible influence of the Protagonist and emerges a better man for the experience. I think if properly written this story would make Aeschylus and Euripides weep.

But, it was bought by Fox, not PBS.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I've got the same hat (and philosophy) that Cam Neely wears in Dumb and Dumber.

Please. Playing a fictional character is nowhere near the same thing. What you did was obvious, just quit while you're behind.

Not behind, apparently I just watched way more crappy sitcoms over the years where this stuff happened all the time.  Did they have tv in your youth?

Episode 3:

Zaire and Zion learn the dangers of PEDs through an unwanted and surprise visit from their Dad's deadbeat "friend" from college, Matt Mortenson.

I laughed harder than I should have at this.

Episode 27:

After getting straight "A's" at St. Thomas grade school in South Beach, Dad Dwyane sends young Zion & Zaire out to Disneyland / Wooden Legacy Tourney to celebrate.  Hilarity ensues when top Marquette boosters Keefe & Chicos are chosen to chaperone.  The two have to put their differences aside to entertain the Wade boys and keep them away from Coco Jones advances.

Coco Jones guest stars.

Technically, Kareem wasn't playing himself.  He was playing a character named Roger Murdoch.

Besides, if we want to talk about Kareem's film career, let's not forget his epic karate battle with Bruce Lee. Cinematic brilliance:

Kareem's second best role (number one is Airplane) is the homeless guy in The Stand!

M. O. O. N.  That spells Kareem.
