I'm taping the Comcast show so i'll be able to report out this evening on what Iman says about his commitment to MU.     That said, I'm not gonna be home in time to "break" the news.  We need someone else to step to the plate for that one...

I'll be at home too. I'm trying to use some of my old sources with the Bulls to see if I can get some info from someone at Comcast on literally anything....what time the announcement will be, if Shumpert has a hat with him, literally anything. I'll keep everyone posted if I get any scoop.

Come on guys.. we had to have learned a lot from the kentucky boards while they were eagerly monitoring coaches last summer!

For starters, we could figure out the path he will probably take from his house or school to the studio and round up some volunteers to strike up chats with him at the red lights..  We could also check the rental car agencies in each of the cities to see if he's got a reservation...  drop off a "MU Mom" shirt at his parents and see if they hand it back...

Knowing people in the Bulls organization, and since they are part owners of CSN Chicago, I thought it couldn't hurt to check around. Obviously I wouldn't post something ridiculous like "Shumpert had a pack of Marlboro's in his back pocket, he must be going to Carolina". But I have people over there that I trust and if they come back with something reliable, I'll pass it on.

this is funny, i think a lot of us are just pretty excited bc of the buildup to this kid and all the hype that we have fueled...he is a possible McDonald's all-american and at times it seems like we are overhyping the kid, i myself am guilty as well though.

i do wish i could just FastForward to 5:30 already but I will just continue to peek back to the posts for the rest of the day i'm sure.

I wasn't picking on you and should probably have indicated as such so I apologize.  I was totally joking in my post but, like the rest of us waiting with fingers crossed, would love to hear anything one way or another (particularly those things going MU's way) and appreciate your sharing!

FWIW: No one I talked to with the Bulls has any idea on anything that goes on with Comcast/Chicago Tribune Live show, so I don't expect to hear anything.

They did say the Bulls are talking to the Lakers about Kobe. Shouldn't be too big of a surprise though.
