Buzz shows favoritism. I wouldnt be shocked If JJJ and Dawson transfer as well!

Calhoun didnt always play highly recruited freshman....and yet he was able to continue to recruit well.
Same with Boeheim. Fab Melo as a freshman....Michael Carter-Williams as a freshman. Neither played meaningful minutes.

Koenig has played fewer minutes at Wisconsin than either JJJ or Dawson.   By your logic, he is gone.     ::)

Thanks for this. It made my night. Get a good night's rest, and you'll feel better in the morning. You're just emotional right now. We've all been there. It was just a hiccup against a very good team. We have one of these every year and always find a way to bounce back. No need to panic, we'll still kick Bucky's ass on 12/07.

Or a freshman who was four inches shorter and just went hard regardless of what position he played stole his chance at minutes so he ran rather than competing.

Hell, Bo had a McDonald's All American, 5 star, top 10 in the country guy who didn't play one single minute in his freshman year.

A player that wasn't expected to contribute so they redshirted him.  In that year, they finished in 2nd place in the Big Ten, won the Big Ten Conference Tournament, made the NCAAs as a 3 seed and finished the season ranked 10th.

Not sure that was the best example to use unless we are so loaded that we can redshirt some of these freshmen and don't need them to play.

Laughable.

It's not out of the question.  Bo for the Badgers showed favoritism toward his senior frontcourt last season despite the fact that they seemed to regress and didn't play well much of the season.  It has happened in the NBA with coaches playing the safe vets and being mediocre instead of going with youth and giving them opportunities to grow.

McKay may regret it down the road.  As much as I like Davante and Chris, someone usually gets hurt which in turn provides playing minutes for newcomers with ability.  McKay may not have put much weight on that possibility.  Anyway, he is gone.  Wish him the best.  My guess McKay was just unrealistic with playing time when he came to Marquette with two high minute senior centers.  Also, couldn't have been much fun practicing against two bruisers like Davante and Chris. It is survival of the fittest!

Let's not paint McKay out to be the second commin' of Kevin Durant.

Or the second coming of Trend Blackledge for that matter.

A top 5, MCD's AA wasn't expected to contribute? Really? Those guys don't redshirt at Duke. or Kentucky. If Buzz pulled that the Scoopers would March to the Al with pitchforks in hand.

Your problem is that you keep buying into recruiting rankings, AA rankings, etc.  Butch wasn't ready, pretty much everyone knew that.  Most of all Butch, who made the decision himself.  He did the same thing Wilkinson did.  Best move Butch made, probably wouldn't be in the pros if he didn't do it.  There's a guy that actually got good counsel from his family and peers, shows you his IQ vs others that have made basketball decisions of late.

Do I think Scooper would want pitchforks, yup.  That's the nature of people buying into those silly rankings

Now, the difference between yesterday and Butch is that Butch was, indeed, redshirted.  Our guys weren't, and could have played.  Coach's decision not to.  Which is fine, that is his choice as the coach.

Your problem is you're missing my point entirely, which is that it's insane for our fans to go ballistic if a freshman rated 35th (JJJ) or 175th (Dawson) gets one (1) DNP.
