This just reeks of Ohio State fan, BTW.

Graduated from MU 5 years ago and doesn't know how early you need to be there to get into the lower bowl (hint: about the same time as you did in 2008).
What time do the doors open to the "stadium"???

There are many names you can call Buckeye fans... clever is not one of them. (BTW - this is what happens when OSU automatically admits any applicant who obtained their GED in Ohio).

You see, MU fans are not just clever, we're devious...... do they still print students' names on the tickets?  If so, I would have a cheermaster attempt to convince the greenest usher at the BC that they should check the student ID of any OSU-clad fan in the lower bowl because that's MU's policy.  And if no one can be convinced, they should be bribed.  And the student section should have an orchestrated cheer as said Buckeyes are escorted from the "stadium."

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Was that the year that Illinois had that 16 point comeback against them in the Elite 8?

You sir are correct, was actually my freshman year.

Skatastrophy

The only time that the students made noise was for free queso.

Also, it's funny how seriously the kids in the front row of the student section take themselves. The rest of the student body does a good job ignoring them, imo.

GGGG

And why would anyone who is in the mid to late 20s want to sit in the student section?  Either buy a big boy ticket or watch it on television somewhere.

That's what they call a necessary evil... you can't come back from a TV timeout to a shot of several dozen MU fans talking civilly amongst themselves.  When I see that from students at other schools, that's prima facie evidence that no one takes that basketball program seriously.

Likely because it was the cheapest ticket OSU fans could get off Craigslist.

Undoubtedly.  But I would still rather watch it in a bar somewhere.  At least I hope he's actually a OSU student.  Because being a 27 yo OSU fan in the middle of the MU student section is creepy...really creepy.

Taking into account the growing infantilization of adults in present day America, the above seems to fall in line with "normal" behavior.

First of all, guys, which ohio state are we talking about? The school really needs a definite article attached to its name to alleviate the ambiguity.

Benny, were you a philosophy major? I know prima facie isnt necessarily confined to philosophy, but ive only heard it used there. Reminds me of my undergrad days as a phil major.

Well if that guy is a fan of THE Ohio State University, hes just gonna have to deal with all the crap that gets said to him in the student section. Last year there were Badger fans that just got shat on. Also, since the student section is right by opposing team bench all their parents are right there as well. At the Notre Dame game I wasnt saying the nicest things to Cooley, especially since he was having intestinal issues and his mother and sister were none to pleased with me. Got some very harsh looks from them that game.

Does Cooley's mom look like Harangody's mom?

Maybe, I mean Cooley are Harangody are the same person afterall right? The only reason I actually recognized her was because I remember seeing her at a game where my dad was Coaching against Cooley in high school.

No, not a philosophy major; I picked it up from the law jockeys I have to deal with on an all-too-regular basis.  Lawyers are great for teaching us two things: 1) Latin and 2) how to derogatorily describe opposing counsel (or his/her arguments) using an acronym.

Thin skinned players' parents who show up to road games are just the best. Loyola was in town right now and the farthest bottom right of the student section is right next to the bench. We were't saying anything derogatory, no curse words or anything. The mom comes up at halftime and tries to yell at us. We laugh and the security makes her go back to their bench, especially knowing we did nothing bad. Those people should probably have a little thicker skinned

How about you step down off of that high horse of yours buddy. Its a college basketball game, not a professional setting.

JD

So many feelings on this board...

It's a sporting event, big f***** deal.

Nah. Step off your high horse and swallow your pride. You "super fans" are attention whores that will do anything to get noticed. There is a difference between being passionate and just being a dick, which is what you were by throwing in his mother and sister. Just my two cents. I understand it's a college setting, but respect for our players and the opposing players should be noted.

Jesus Christ I was just asking for some information. I'm not a Buckeyes fan. I hate Ohio St. I could talk about MU ball all day whether it be recruits, past players, present players, or whatever. So get off my dick about it moron.
