"Deyonta"

Of course we offered him.

Someone should go through the list of 2015 top recruits and find our targets based on name alone. Take that to vegas.

Love to see Buzz going after big guys.  We need to be big to dominate.

We have the Ds: Davante, Deonte, Derrick, Duane, Dylan, Dawson

The Js: Juan, JaJuan, John, Jamil, Jake

This has to be a part of Buzz's recruiting strategy.

I don't know what that has to do with recess.

So if the J's took on the D's in a game who would win?   I'd go with the J's.

It's too bad that people don't comment on the topic.

source?

Awesome. Lord knows we could use some more size come 2015.

Wasn't it not too long ago Scoopers were questioning Buzz's lack of X's and O's?

Maybe he should recruit Xavier, Xander, Xuan...and Orenthal, Obadiah, Oscar...

My apologies.

Deyonta is a little light at 205, but looks bigger for his size.  Has a wide frame so should be able to add pounds.

Has a good handle for a man his size and looks to find the open man.  Can step out and take the open jump shot and has a good looking shot.  Probably needs to play with a little higher motor, but that is not uncommon for a guy much bigger than his peers.

raul

He appears to be a very good athlete which is right up Buzz's alley a (switchable).

Absolutely.  And notice how no one is giving you a hard time for saying that because you chose to say it in a way that wasn't whiny.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Oh my god he is another Jameel McKay ...twin! LOL. Looks just like McKay. Same guy...look at him! Same moves same body type. Tall lanky and a bit light and soft. We'll see...

Hope he has a face up game and a jumper and is able to bang in the post. He has a year or two to get stronger. A lot of these young men are so skinny and lean.

I bet many do not eat right if at all...and nutrition is seriously lacking. But they are blessed with length and mobility and measurable skills. Just not IQ and mental or emotional toughness and physical maturity.

That takes time and some discipline which requires patience that most do not have....in an instant gratifying lifestyle. I'm not hating....just calling it like I see it and perceive it. I might be completely off base, but that is what it seems.

But we'll see how he shakes out.

We need more switchables--everybody knows that!
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

You've seen one basketball nightlight video of the guy and you're making judgements about his character based solely on that? Interesting.

Yeah, as I was reading I was thinking when is Willie going to start whining about him being a switchable. But let's give him credit he didn't complain about the guy being only a 3 star.

My vote would go to the D's. You've got our top two PGs and our best offensive big man. The real question is whether Dawson plays with the D's or John plays with the J's, because the J's without a point has next to no chance.

LOL, I know these events usually see defense taking a backseat, but this was pathetic.
It should have been called the BankHoops.com Slam Dunk Contest.
