Best player for Marquette in scrimmage against Illinois State?  Jamil Wilson.

My #mubb scrimmage takeaway.  Concessions sales go up thanks to new rules emphasis. Games will be 3 hours #doublebonus #lotsoffouls

Rest assured every NCAA selection committee member is tracking these - we better have won by at least 20 or it will hurt MU's seed.

Getting antsy with only 14 months left till he makes his D1 debut.

Yep--he's gotta a lotta time to work on that shot and that position and that muscle and those hops and that approach. So he's in a good spot.

How'd Michael Beasley look?

I heard he had about 54 rebounds.  Complete monster!

I have to admit, following him on twitter, I have not been all that sad to see him go.

Michael Beasley still holds the record for  "most points scored (60) by a Washington DC area freshman, playing for a school in the sunflower state with purple colors, in late october, at a practice facility named for a former Jesuit school basketball coach, against that same school in which that coach one a national title with, during a media blacked out scrimmage"

First ever man to score 60 points and 50 rebounds

Beasley was a beast in college. Many in Chicago thought the Bulls should take him rather than Rose with the first overall pick. Large appetite for weed, once he got his money he didn't seem to give a crap.

"Many," sure--Chicago is a large city. But the lion's share wanted Rose. No question.

Yeah, I'd day the sentiment was overwhelmingly in favor of Rose. There were some contrarians, but there was never a serious doubt about who the Bulls would take.

No doubt.

Additionally, everyone knows Stern rigged the lottery for the Bulls to get Rose at #1.
