Women's BE Tourney Heading to Chicago

Looks like the Tourney will start on DePaul's campus and progress to Allstate Arena.  Seems a pretty solid move considering Hartford isn't very logical sans UConn.
The Flutie Effect: "A significant and positive correlation between a university having a successful team and higher quality of incoming freshmen, alumni donations, and graduation rates."

Honestly, they should have had all rounds at McGrath Arena. It seems more size-appropriate for the event, is closer to downtown hotels, and is presumably rent-free.

Allstate Arena is a dump and is surprisingly large (17,500 for basketball). Gonna be a lot of empty seats without UConn fans buying all the tickets.

I don't disagree with you about the Allstate, but how many does McGrath seat? You probably want more than 3 or 4 thousand for the championship. 10,000 is probably perfect, so once the new DePaul arena is built that will be ideal

The McGrath arena only sits 3,000.  The championship game last year, (granted it was UCONN vs. Notre Lame) drew over 9,000.

3,000 will probably be plenty. The early round games last year that didn't involve uconn or notre dame had less than that.
