I love the part about officials being given NCAA preference if they consistenly enforce the rule.  wow, the T's, the better the post-season assignment?  Lute better keep KO taped and in the box...!

that's why it's always good to have someone a little more cool headed on the bench as an assistant.  I remember playing soccer in high school my coach got a few yellow cards and even got tossed on occasion. It would have been more frequent if the JV coach didn't step in now and then to make sure he didn't go after the refs too much.  Even when it's generally getting in arguments over potentially dangerous plays that resulted in some sort of injury, gotta make sure coaches keep their heads so they don't give the refs a reason to call something close for the other team.
