Whoa...the two things I got out of that...

The New Retro Jersey is pictured:
QuoteLW: New Converse jerseys on the way, too, I hear -- and four different versions. Which is the best one?

JM: We're kind of going back to the old-school style, with the little checkers going around the sleeves and the collar. There's one like that in powder blue and gold; it's probably the most exciting, since our fans haven't seen it for a real long time. It'll be our fourth jersey, and it might be the best-looking one too.

LW: When are you breaking out that retro version?

JM: Hopefully the championship of the Maui Invitational or the Big East opener. It'll depend on what mood coach [Crean] is in. He's pretty superstitious.

An actual Marquette retro jersey, hanging inside the team's video room on campus.

And then clearly, they both need to poke around our Wiki a little to know that the 1977 car is a Packard convertible - Not a Rolls  :P
QuoteLW: I'm assuming you're familiar with the photo of the only Marquette national title team, from 1977, where they're standing around a Rolls Royce, wearing tuxes. What was your first thought when you saw it?

JM: I loved it. I absolutely loved it. Those guys were great competitors, and they won and won big. They all had great personalities, and they created a tradition for this program that still lives on through today. They had more personality than other champs, too -- with the Rolls, and the tuxes, and if you look, they all had their own poses.

I like the confidence Jerel is showing. I hope it's not so over the top that the team thinks that they'll roll over everyone but I like the fact that they think teams will be facing them like they are the team to beat this year. Gives the boys a reason not to lose.

That Can't be!!! One of the Mod's got the following PM a few weeks ago:
QuoteThis is why your web is an insignificant step child to [unnamed website].

Thanks for reminding me why I should ignore it.

Nonetheless -- nice poll 77, looks like the fans spoke, and someone listened :)

good point, lets not get over confident, plus in a already highly competitive big east, lets not give any team some bulletin board material
