Guys like Vitale, ESPN, etc. all idolize Pitino. Nuff said!

Let's stop hating on ESPN. Those they idolize make money and win championships. I would love to be associated. Buzz making money$$$$, and Marquette with a championship.

Since she's in prison I would guess she is eating some rug
I don't get it "eating some rug", is that akin to snapping at tuna?

Seriously though; is she in the slammer? If so she is definitely getting slammed.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

No because then he committed a crime.

Breaking a commandment is fine. but breaking the law isn't? Good to see how you've defined your morals.

Lets see, winning championships like in Tebow, right. ESPN has become the PC police of sports, except for Costas. You cannot find any more PC than Wilbon or Greenberg. And when one semi-strays off base, like Kornheiser, they immediately smack him back in line.

Must be exhausting spending all that time worrying about what other dudes do with their junk.

It's even more bizarre than that. Breaking a commandment ISN'T fine by him... unless a spouse is OK with it. If they are not OK with it, he is not OK with it. If they are OK with it, he is OK with it.

Yeah, let's get pitch forks and torches! Who knows where Pitino lives?

I have principles, so I'll look down my nose at others with you.

Oh this is cool.

Actually what I am big on is forgiveness.  And I am not going to hold something over someone's head if he sincerely asks forgiveness and it is granted by his wife, his family and presumably his God.

Mathew 18:21-22:  "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

John 8: 2-11:  "2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

11 "No one, sir," she said.

"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

Foregivness is a wonderful thing.  I wish I could practice it more.

Now, for more important things.....when pulling a spinner with a crawler harness, is it best to use a bottom bouncer or a lindy rig?

One week from now, my a$$ is in Canada.

I am joining 4 buddies from flight school at Gustavus, AK. Chinooks, halibut, ling cod, Dungeness crab, Cohibas, and Lagavulin 16.

Where in Canada are you headed?

Eagle lake in Ontario.  Great muskies.  Good lake for walleyes too.

I am jealous of yor trip to AK.  On the bucket list.

We've got one hell of a menu planned.  Home made (and I mean home made) ravioli with Mrs. Bassi's red sauce, my home made Real Chili recipe, authentic chicken enchiladas, walleye tacos, huevos rancheros, corned beef hash, washed down with southern mimosas, 4 pounds of bacon from Nolacek's in Thorpe, and the Animal's black bean and ham soup.  Hope we can find time for some shore lunch and a couple of fish dinners.    ;)

We will be swilling a mix of Crown and Pendleton.  One of the fellas also has a weak spot for Zig Zang bloodys.

Be sure to post some pics in the fishing thread.

What's odd to me isn't the forgiveness or that you're "OK with it". Not at all. What's odd is that you're basing your take on your belief that his wife has "forgiven" him. Your opinion changing based on her feelings and/or actions, which could be quite complex and can't be well understood by you, is what strikes me as odd.

Ok, but where does the jab about principles fit in?

Are you saying that it is better to stand on principle from afar and not "be Ok" with Pitino, but it's not okay to trust the judgment of people who actually have detailed knowledge of the situation and are close enough to Pitino to gauge his level of contrition and overall character?

I guess porking another guy's wife on a table in a public restaurant (maybe family) isn't a crime if both involved are having a good time. There oughta be a law!

IIRC Pitino's assistant married her after his 15 seconds of shame

Not really sure what any of this had to do with my point. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing, of course I generally don't choose whether to forgive somebody based on another person or the legal system's thoughts but that's another discussion. However the point stands that you stated you were okay with forgiving him because he didn't commit a crime, even though he did break a commandment. So, in your eyes, man's law stands above God's law?!?
