Just saw STJ outside Jimmy Johns in wheelchair.

JD

He had surgery.  Not sure on what, but he stated he just did.

Go back with your iPhone and get a picture.  Better yet, go back and get a video interview with him so we can all see and hear what's going on.

3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

Eldon

Ambiguous.  Were you in the wheelchair or was he?

Joking aside, can I change my vote for my expectations next year?  That sucks!  God-speed, my friend.

Wally Schroeder

Are we talking a simple scope? If so, he should back on the court in a couple weeks. Or something more extensive?

JD

I'd post a pic, but my phone is broken, check it out on his Instagram Stevetaylor35

Freshman forward Steve Taylor, Jr., of the Marquette University men's basketball program underwent elective surgery to his right knee in order to remove a benign growth on Wednesday morning.

Surgery was conducted by Dr. Ted Gertel, MD, the team's orthopaedic surgeon, at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. The estimated recovery time is 3-4 months and the successful procedure addressed an issue that had existed for a number of years.

Taylor is expected to be released from the hospital Friday afternoon.

The Chicago, Ill., native appeared in all 35 games off the bench in 2012-13, posting averages of 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. He shot 53.1 percent from the field and nearly half of his total rebounds came at the offensive end. MU finished the year 26-9 overall and reached the Elite Eight for the first time since 2003.

Get well soon Steve!

Interesting timing. Might have thought they would have waited until exams ended.

3-4 months puts him at full strength for boot camp.

Skatastrophy

Good to hear that he takes his health seriously!  Gotta keep your body right while you're young.

Easy to take exams while on crutches.  Sooner is better.

Jay Bee

3 to 4 months for a growth? dang, must have been big or deep in there. Glad it's benign and sounds like something that's been around.. get that young man all set for next season and beyond..

Bring back the medical school.
The portal is NOT closed.

Think Buzz knows that the knee is part of the leg, and not the shoulder?

"issue that had existed for a number of years"

Looks like we'll have a new and improved Steve Taylor, Jr. to look forward to.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

This is why we need a med school--we wouldn't have such confusion if we did

chapman

Wheeled from the hospital right to Jimmy John's.  That's the spirit.

From an academic stand point that would make sense. From a basketball standpoint he should of had it done a month ago.

Yeah, but you need a referral from Coach Tom Crean to get taken care of.

Exhaustion? Hyperbaric chamber.

Sprained ankle? Hyperbaric chamber.

Hay fever? Hyperbaric chamber.

Everything  else is  gym, tan, laundry.

AZWarrior

So I expect he'll be using HGH as part of his recovery process.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.
