They should appear in the Big Ten title game every other year with this realignment.

Gone are the Leaders and Legends...LOL...what a joke that was.

In the east are Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers, Indiana, Maryland

In the west with Becky are Minnesota, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Iowa, Nebraska

I'd say Becky came out smelling like a rose (pun intended) on these football divisions.

Nebraska and purdue are pushovers in football?

GGGG

Purdue is...yes.

The Big Ten really needs one of the other western schools to get good.

Purdue, absolutely.   Nebraska isn't anything close to what they used to be.

They should start burning couches now in Madison because it's a two team race every year to play for the Big Ten championship.  Those divisions are so out of whack.

Ohio State and Michigan wanted to be in the same division.  After that it just made sense to do it geographically.

That's a hell of a thank you to Rutgers and Maryland for joining...Thanks now play Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, and Michigan every year.  If Wisconsin doesn't go to the Big10 championship every other year at a minimum Gary Anderson should be fired.

Northwestern is pretty solid & Iowa in most years is very strong.

Sorry, but I don't think Iowa is "very strong" in most years.

Northwestern can be solid, but over the long haul is anything but.

Iowa is stronger than Michigan State.

Iowa has been to two BCS Orange Bowl since 2002. MSU, has never been in a BCS game.

Damning with feint praise.  From a resources perspective, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State are much bigger programs.  Nebraska and Wisconsin are about the same size.  The rest of the division is well behind them.

This new format benefits Wisconsin completely...but by no means is a shoo-in.

Really?  That surprises me.  Was that the only way they could certain to play each other every year?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Northwestern is really, really good. I can easilly see them winning that side of the conference. They won 10 games last year and really only lost oneimportant player from last years team.

No, I think they simply wanted that game to potentially mean something even if was just for a division title.
