FGCU

Wow, watch out for FGCU...granted, I don't know much about Dooley other than the fact he's been an assistant on the winningest program (Kansas) over the last 10 years for that entire stretch, but unless the guy has been the towel boy the whole time, thats a pretty freaking impressive hire.  Got it done quickly too.  I mean, it's entirely likely they just upgraded coaches.  We'll see how they fit together, but wow.

Maybe USC should have hired him ... he has a better resume than Enfield.

No...he was pretty much mediocre at his only other head coaching gig prior to this one.

At East Carolina, when he was what, 33...what would you expect?

Wasn't being critical.  Just pointing out that he didn't have a "better resume."

I get that tourney succes is huge, but seriously, Without those brief 80 minutes he is likey the FGCU coach for the next 5 years.  Get back to the tourney one or two times in that span, show you can consistenltly bring in some players and get them to improve and then maybe he should have gotten a bigger job.

Looking at his resume, it would seem Dooley has at least as much going for him as either Buzz or Crean did before they got the Marquette job. Seems like a terrific get for FGCU, though, as always, time will tell.
