4everwarriors

are really impressive without a highly regarded recruit. HOF coach may just get his dinner early at Porcini's.

Shockers got the good karma.

Lots o ball to be played.

GGGG

Great defense.  Minimum turnovers, like 4 against a team that thrives on turnovers.

Siva having terrible game and Loserville in big time foul trouble, big time.

PuertoRicanNightmare

They're really good and with plenty of size, too.

MattyWarrior

They never play this bad against us.

Holy Li'l Bird! The Shockers got a chance!

Louisville pressure finally breaking WSU down. Good game.

Yes, with a highly regarded JUCO and a freshman point guard.  Just like MU next year with McKay and Duane Wilson.

Great effort by WSU, but Loserville just too talented.

Marshall is a great coach. Heard he doesn't want to go big time because of a heart condition. That game was a widow maker.

Wait a minute! I thought JUCOs cheapen the team GPA and is the lazy man's recruiting strategy?

Seriously, great run by the Shockers. Doesn't mean I want them in the Big East, though.

Shockers were great, but watching Louisville step it on D brought back great memories. Whenever Al's teams needed to tighten the screws they sure knew how do it. Pitino gets boys to play hard and I love the full court press.

I heard he doesn't "go big time" because he's a total dick.

PRN

He has that total dick look. Also has a look of a winner. He had those boys ready and was great game to watch.

augoman

hmmm Marshalll crying in post game interview..., should be smiling from ear to ear after the great season they had.

Gregg Marshall recruits JUCOs. How can you be a fan?

Not against JUCOs, I don't like having a bunch on a roster, to much imbalance...prefer 4 year players.

At a school like Wichita State I would expect that.  We're not Wichita State.

At Winthrop, by my count he had 6 JUCOs in 9 years there...less than one per year

Pickens were probably pretty slim by the time the JUCOs started considering Winthrop.

If JUCOS like Armistead, Early and Hall can be recruited yearly, keep doing it WSU.

Those guys were money this season and this tourney.

Butler, Buycks, Crowder, DJO, McKay.    5 JUCO's in 6 years.   Less than one per year.

Damn.   I kept thinking I was missing one.   To the point, though, which of the JUCO's failed to represent MU in a positive fashion?

I agree and have absolutely no problem signing JUCOs.  I trust that Buzz will not be bringing in any players that he is not confident will leave Marquette as roll models by the time that their careers are done, whether they are coming from high school, JUCO, or a different college.

Having said that, Monterale Clark committed to Marquette under Buzz and ended up never making it to campus because of legal problems (I believe a sexual assault case?).  He had red flags all over him even before them, having gone to 3 different high schools (King, Pius, Milwaukee Edison) and then a prep school before landing at a JUCO in Texas.

AcTaully, Armstead was not a JUCO, but a transfer from Oregon.  He played there with Jamil.
