I don't recall ever being this excited for the next season of Marquette basketball as I am for next year.

Usually there is the mourning period for the end of the season and of how we are going to replace what we have lost. Junior and Trent contributed a lot and will be missed but we have so much talent returning/arriving. This team was not, by most experts, supposed to win the Big East and make it to the Elite 8 and gave most of us more than we could have asked for, against Syracuse we were basically playing with house money.

Now I know injuries and players not panning out/not liking their role can affect a team greatly but if we stay healthy and this team comes together it is crazy to think about how good they could be. If we can get a couple of guys to improve their 3's in the off season or one of the new guys can hit them at a decent clip just think about how that will open up the lane for the 4's and 5's.
