I think it is premature in regards to Ferguson.  There is another thread about Calipari running guys off, but when a MU guy doesn't get playing time, we assume he is going to transfer.

What do you people want, Buzz to sit Vander so Ferguson can play?  Maybe Buzz explained his role, much like he did with Taylor, and he is fine with it.  Has anyone seen him in practice?  Is he developing?

Here is a guy who is the fastest on the team, is long and athletic.  I for one think he stays and gets more playing time than Burton.

Yup, Calipari just had his starting PG, Ryan Harrow transfer.  Had to make room for the big burger boys.

I don't think the issue is what "we" expect, so much as what the player expects (or our best guess as to what the player expects) juxtaposed against the status quo.  If a guy expects to play a certain position, or see a certain number of minutes, and isn't getting that, transfers happen.  I think this logic can be applied to any/all transfers in recent MU history (save, perhaps, Mbakwe, who left to be closer to his child).

Granted, no one on this board knows what Buzz did or didn't say to Ferguson some +2 years ago on the recruiting trail, but while there's no reason to believe Buzz promised Jamal a certain number of minutes, there's also no reason to believe Ferguson signed on expecting to ride the pine.

So no, I do not expect/want Buzz to bench Vander for Ferguson.  Again, everyone here is guessing what Ferguson expected coming to MU.  However, IF he expected to play a significant role, it would make sense that he'd transfer to a place where that is a possibility.

All recruiters promise players significant playing time to get them there. The work is in keeping the players they want there. Jamal ferguson leaving makes sense if he's expected to fall behind incoming guards. The guy can ball. Mayo being benched mid-season tells me him and Buzz are butting heads. He has 2 years left, so he may leave as well. Thomas with no scholarship is a concern.

In order: Chris Otule.  Todd Mayo.  That's it.   IMO Chris hangs en up after this great run.
