Looks like we should just be happy to be here... Moreso than La Salle

Not talking about seeds or their resumes, but in terms of how they are playing right now (how easily are they winning relative to strength of opponent and how they finished their conference tournaments), how would you rank the final 16 teams?  Here is my try though obviously subjective.

1. Louisville (crushed first two opponents)
2. Michigan State
3. Oregon (clearly better than 12 seed both in resume and performance)
4. Michigan
5. Kansas
6. Miami
7. Arizona (tempted to put higher due to margins of victory, but they have had relatively soft opponents thus far)
8. Duke (winning strong but kind of untested)
9. Florida (strong in tourney after disappointing SEC loss to Ole Miss)
10. FGCU
11. Syracuse
12. Ohio State
13. Indiana (crushed in Big 10 tourney and looked beat-able yesterday)
14. Wichita State
15. LaSalle
16. Marquette (squeezing by against good but less-than-top notch opponents)

they will undoubtedly be upset when their perceived 16th worst team beats them...

Browsing a bit more on their board it's nuts to me what their fans say the expectation should be for the program.... Every 4 year kid should be on 2 NCAA teams...

Makes me appreciate even more the streak of NCAA berths and Sweet Sixteens MU has enjoyed.

Quality of team determined by margin of victory in two games they won, with a random sampling and weight assigned to meaningless conference tournaments.  Can't really argue, we are indeed 16th given the criteria.  We will next judge quality of team by free throw percentage in the ninth minute of each half and walk-on scoring averages.  I think we'll be around 12th when those numbers are run.

Pretty much every person in the country thinks its Miami vs some physically disabled rec league team

All about the criteria and, let's face it, subjectivity of the analyst.  I'm glad we still get a chance to play the game.  I, too, would like to play the FGCU to their Georgetown and pull the big "upset."

Interesting and convenient that he teams they will/could play all in the bottom third. Fandom/rationalization hard at work.
