The Sir Lawrence Challenge -- Thank you!
« on: September 11, 2007, 08:24:38 AM »
UPDATE:  The challenge has ended and was a huge success.  Check out the page to see who ponied up some dough!

----------------
We have just 4 days left before Al's Run, to make our goal.

One of our loyal readers, "Sir Lawrence," has thrown down on a fund-raising challenge.

To spark donations, he will MATCH your gift, up to $100 smackers, for a 1-hour blitz.  The hour will be from 12-1pm TODAY.   RIGHT NOW!

You'd think that everyone would be out enjoying Big Macs over their lunch, but historically, you're reading MUScoop in record numbers at that time.

So if you want to double your dollars, remember Al, support Marquette, the Creans, and MUScoop, please donate TODAY over your lunch hour!

DOUBLE YOUR DOUGH! Nice.

hmm I LIKE double dough pizza.. YUM... pizza is good...
donating is good!

donating is like pizza!  COOL!!!

a decent pizza costs around $15-$20.. so just donate the cost of a pizza or two or three between 12-1 and you'll be GOOD (and COOL)!

Thank you to everyone who participated.  I was really hoping, however, to hit the target.  Let's finish this thing off before Saturday.

Huge props to Sir Lawrence and his brother "Sir" Thomas.

Apparently, Thomas guilted his baby brother into matching ALL the donations during that hour, so he matched $195 instead of what he'd pledged, $100.

We're now over $1200.  Fantastic! -- Only $100 from our level last year.
