Alright people, this is seriously disappointing.

Only about a week until Al's run, we've got over $1100 to go - and not a single donation today!?!  Perhaps you've missed all the reminders we've been plastering on the site, and on Cracked Sidewalks.  Like, this thread:
http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=3700

Thanks to those that have already donated, but to those of you that haven't - c'mon, you can't part with $5 for a good cause?

If things don't start picking up, I might have to start banning people...(bold means they haven't donated)

Apologies if you donated but it was listed under a different name...

Oh, and for those that think they're safe because they're not in a top 10...next week I'll dig out top 50, and then 100 - nobody is safe!

So just donate, that way I can stop bothering you :)

There you go...

Thanks to the three that dropped some dough since my tirade.  Muchas Gracias!

Now, as for the rest of you...

Sir Lawrence

Weren't a bunch of people on this board intimating that Crean was rather cheap with his $100,000 donation to the soccer stadium?

I realize that charitable giving is a personal, private matter, and I also realize that a whole bunch of you are struggling students, but I sure hope we can do better than the current trend line.

Oh hey - just realized this hasn't ended yet - still a chance for all of you who haven't to contribute yet!

For the record some of us who are running made donations just not through the muscoop site

muwarrior87

I donated through my team that I'm on at MU.

mu_hilltopper

mental note .. move spartan and muwarrior87 from naughty to nice list.

And there are others of us that have our own firstgiving fundraising pages for Al's Run.  Perhaps a contest is in order for future years to see who can raise the most money (advantage Rocky).

all valid points and great to hear - however, 781 muscoop members.. 23 donors.. let's say HALF of the members gave through other means.. that leaves 367 members..  The current average donation is $23.92.  If 11% of those 367 members (around 40 more people) donated at that current average, we'd have no trouble meeting the goal.. come on guys!  It's a great cause to consider.

Yup. I donated to the team I was supposed to be running on until a work trip is taking me out of town.
But I like to throw handfuls...

rocky_warrior

Fair enough.  I've decided banning individuals to make a point is unfair  :P

However, my current plan is....
If we haven't reached our $1500 goal by Thursday morning, I'm going to shut down the site with a notice that it will only come back up once the goal is met.

Hopefully that will get some of the silent crack addicts out of the closet.  Either that, or you could just donate the $5 now and keep me from having to shut the site down  ;D

Can anyone tell me if Al's Run is a fun race? I would be coming in from out of town for it, and just wanted to know if it would be worth the trip. Looks like a good course. Let me know. Thanks.

$150 left to go - lets try to meet the goal today, and then see if we can surpass the $1500 on Thursday and Friday.  I know you've been thinking "I'll do that later" - well, now it's later :)

After that, you won't have to hear about it again until next year (when - uh - we'll of course have an even higher target - so start saving your pennies on Saturday...)

MileHigh

another fun day.  Tom Crean and the players were all out there today, signing autographs and giving away some free things.  Nice to see so many people coming out for the event.  And pretty pumped about my 40:52.
