Golden Avalanche

I have never understood people's infatuation with rooting for fellow conference mates?? To me it's just wrong. The ONLY team I ever want to see do good is MU and MU only. I don't give a rat's ass about anything else. If Georgetown cuts down the nets, is it going to make me feel better because a fellow conference member did it?? Hell no! To me, that's just a knock on MU. It's like being a Packer fan and rooting for the Bears or the Queens. That should just never happen.

I'm rooting for Butler so MU can beat them in the next round. Gives us a nice little token going into the new conference for building a rivalry.

Is that okay?

I'd rather play the "lesser" of two teams. That's Bucknell. If MU gets knocked out along the way, and 3 NBE teams go to the Elite 8 for example, is that supposed to make me feel better?? Hell no! The worse those teams do, the easier things are on MU going forward. I want them to absolutely dominate(Memphis style), this new conference.

Ah, so you are cheering for a team other than Marquette.

Dominating a la Memphis or Gonzaga would be boring as hell.

Not in the new conference. I'd love to see them all get knocked out early, and MU to go deep. Everyone would label MU as the best of the BE, and they would be.

I don't need exciting wins from MU, just "W's" and lots of them. W's=good. L's=bad....VERY bad.

There went my perfect bracket.

Upon further review, my bracket is intact after two games.

Butler earning it from the stripe, 25 of 28.

Stevens must have had them practicing free throws
