I was watching the Tourney Show last night, and the five man pannel all had MU in the elight 8 or some even farther.  I believe three of the five picked Colorado to upset Miami in the second round.  One or two believed that MU would beat Indianna and make it to the Final Four.  This is alot of love for Marquette, but personally I don't see us making it to the final four.  What are your thoughts?

I don't think we can get past Davidson or else we would make the Final Four...

I think it's crazy to see the disparity of opinions on this team.  Kinda representative of the team itself in a way.  Unfortunately none of our games will be played in the Bradley Center so I don't see us winning 6 in a row, but I could easily see MU playing on March 28.

Contrast that with all of the calls for MU being upset by Davidson.   If MU finds a way to play like they did at home; with the same energy and confidence, they can go far.   If they play passive, they lose early.    It comes down to what MU does, not what Davidson or Butler/Bucknell does.   If MU plays well this weekend, they get to play next weekend.    Simple as that.    The question is whether they do it.

I have us going to the Elite 8, Final Four, and Championship Game before losing to Louisville. I may well be over-optimistic, and that probably won't happen, but I think we have a great draw to get to the Elite 8 as the teams we will most likely see before then suck at creating turnovers. And if we get the karmic Buzz/TC matchup, I simply think our coach is better at game-planning and making in-game adjustments. Looking at the rest of that top half, UNLV doesn't scare me at all and we already beat Syracuse. Why wouldn't we like our chances, especially if we get to DC and are playing in front of a largely C7 crowd that would love get behind Marquette over anyone else we'd see there?

Brew, your track record shows you know this team. In the depths of our funk over losses to Florida and Packersland, you pulled us out and promised an NCAA berth. Of course you were right.

If we make the Championship, I'll see you in Atlanta! I missed the last time we made the championship in Atlanta -- I saw it at Brooks Memorial Union instead with about 2,000 other half-bombed MU crazies.
