Dad yes ... Too bad Jmay has to be the loser.  Would have been nice to have him as a senior this year.

It wasn't Jeronne's decision.  When his dad and ex-AAU coach decided to go over Buzz's head to an assistant AD to complain about how Jeronne was being used, Buzz made the decision for Jeronne.

The part I love is how now, as a Vol, Jeronne is fine with playing on the frontline.  Maybe he just had to get further from his dad geographically to become realistic.

Hopefully, Jeronne can make it to the NBA and get to work on dealing with his dad's bad debts.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

You must have a horrible life.

Couldn't be any more horrible than the pathetic kitten who started a thread slapping his own back in retort to some sort of perceived persecution.

To each their own in this big world.

Good thing you don't hold a grudge long, that's healthy.

Try and have some class, would you?

Good luck to Jeronne.

Take it easy buddy.  Last I checked we are all MU fans.  Jeronne's dad is a turd and his son is basically the same.    Class?   you mean the same class Jeronne and his family showed?   Take a pill and relax

You want to classify yourself with Tim Maymon? That's your call.

Jeronne is a confused college kid. Leave him alone.

Only a moron would bring this up 4 years later.

The Lens

Jon Rothstein, filling in on the Tim Brando show, said that Tenn would be a no doubt NCAA if Maymon was healthy.  He called Maymon and Stokes the best 4, 5 in the NCAA and said next year they'd be Top 10.

Lay off the kid.  He'll be fine.

Who is this Jeronne Maymon?

Yeah your new here ...

Five years ago Jeronne Maymon was the best player in WI and committed to MU.  He was Buzz's first big-time signing.

He played for Madison Memorial, same school as Vander, one year ahead of him.  Together they won the State championship.  He is 6'6" about 240 to 250 with tons of upside.

His freshman year he played well and was one his way to starting.  Then we lost to UW at Madison right before Christmas.  Right after that (like a day or two later) Jeronne's father (Tim Maymon) met with the Assistant AD and/or Buzz.  He was unhappy with how Jeronne was being used.  He started dictating to Buzz where he should play, mainly at the 2, and how the offense should run, through Jeronne.

Buzz was having none of that, he told them if they dd not like the way he was running the team, they should leave.  They did, right then in the middle of the season (or the end of the winter semester).  Buzz only let him out of his scholarship provided he did not go to another BE or B1G team.  He went to Tenn (where Bruce Pearl, former UWM coach, was at the time).  When Jeronne left, his father blasted MU and Buzz in the press announcing he was leaving because he did not think MU would win again.

Word is this decision to leave was entirely Jeronne's father.  Jeronne was happy at MU and was torn between what he wanted and what his father wanted.  So Jeronne left because his father told him/forced him too.

The perception is Jeronne is a good kid being guided by a tyrant father.  At least that's the way it is viewed here.  This is why criticism of Jeronne is not taken well here, it is about his Father and that is who should be ripped, not Jeronne.  He was just a confused 17 year old kid.

We're still bringing up Crean five years later.

You do realize the Jeronne red shirted this year because of an injury. So even if Tenn mad the tourney, JMay wouldn't be playing.
